Why we're different

We believe Flip House Network is the first consumer-focused DePIN designed to unify the devices already found in millions of homes into a single privacy-first participation network.

Most DePIN projects today focus on a single category of infrastructure or a dedicated class of devices — Helium for wireless, Hivemapper for dashcams, DIMO for vehicles, Grass for bandwidth, WeatherXM for weather stations.

To the best of our knowledge, no DePIN project combines existing home utility meters, smart home cameras, and consumer electronics into a single privacy-preserving network that rewards homeowners for metadata from devices they already own — with no purpose-built hardware required.

Common questions

Can Flip House see my cameras?
No. Flip House never receives video, audio, or images. The Privacy Engine captures only event signals — timestamps and classifications — through supported integrations.
Do I need new hardware?
No. Flip House is designed to work with supported devices you already own. No new equipment required to get started.
How do I get paid?
Automatically. Rewards are based on your approved metadata contributions and network rules. Contributions are validated by Gremium and settled on Solana. As the network evolves, reward mechanisms may be updated through governance and protocol decisions.
Is my identity shared?
No. Flip House is designed so that personally identifiable information is not included in contributed metadata. Your wallet participates in the network, while approved organizations receive only aggregated, anonymized insights.
Who receives the aggregated insights?
Approved organizations — such as researchers, universities, utilities, insurers, public agencies, and other authorized commercial or nonprofit participants — may license aggregated, anonymized insights. Individual homeowner data is never sold or shared.
Can I stop participating?
Yes, at any time. You can revoke authorization for any device or the entire network whenever you choose. Your participation is always voluntary.
Who owns my data?
You decide what metadata you contribute. Flip House is designed so that raw personal content never leaves your home. Only encrypted, user-approved metadata participates in the network.
